Dan Clark is a reporter for the Pulitzer Prize winning organization PolitiFact. Clark was hired as the premier New York reporter for the fact-checking organization when the state edition launched in 2016. PolitiFact partners with The Buffalo News to publish stories from PolitiFact New York.
He’s based out of the State Capitol in Albany where he covers state and federal lawmakers from New York. Fact checks also extend to political organizations and those in the public eye.
Clark was previously the Video Producer for Capital Tonight, upstate New York’s only nightly political television show. He also wrote for the show's political blog State of Politics.
He specializes in political journalism and research and has published fact-checks on everything from campaign attacks to federal health care reform.
Clark also specializes in video and film production, with a focus on long-form, narrative content. He is currently working on a film surrounding the statewide ban of high volume hydraulic fracturing, or 'fracking', in New York titled "Not One Well."
